WHO WE ARE
Co-Founder Ian Signer is a master facilitator, educator and curriculum writer, with nearly 30 years working internationally to create programs for National Geographic, the Life Sciences Foundation, Apple, the Biodiversity Conservation Society of Sarawak, San Francisco State University, the Wildlife Conservation Society, and organizations in 17 countries throughout Africa, Asia, and South America. He believes cross-cultural communication and interdisciplinary thought can help us find solutions to global challenges.


Co-Founder Ali Weller is a Greenhouse Gas Emissions Specialist, Founder of the Four Trillion Trees Initiative of the World Economic Forum - Trillion Tree Platform, Teacher and Mentor for thousands of Climate Leaders at Climate Reality Project global trainings, a Master Speaker trained by Al Gore, a TEDx Speaker, a master experience designer, curriculum writer, and marketing and communications specialist with 20 years working internationally to create global programs for Apple, the World Environmental Education Congress, UL, Dalhousie University, the University of Copenhagen, the University of British Columbia, former Board Member of the North American Association for Environmental Education, and Co-Chair of the Canadian Network for Environmental Education and Communication.
Co-Founder Jose "Pepe" Marcos-Iga was a master facilitator, educator, curriculum writer, people leader, mentor, and father of two. Pepe was instrumental in the genesis of the Intelligent Play Institute from 2008-2018. He served as Chief Operating Officer of the Western National Parks Association and President of the Board of the North American Association for Environmental Education. He was a professor at the University of Arizona, where he was lovingly called "Dr. Pepe." His humor, sensitivity to equity, justice and inclusion, and expert diplomacy will be missed by many. He passed away in 2018, and our work is dedicated to him.
